Industrial sewing master, Randall Girard.

Master Sewer

Sew Learn How has been established by Randall Girard, who provides a distinctive platform that merges more than 40 years of worldwide cutting and sewing experience into an online course designed for both novice and experienced domestic sewers.

Some people know what they’re meant to do. That is why Randall has been working and teaching in the same field for more than 40 years. He began his journey the same way as everyone else, by taking a course. He enrolled in an upholstery course at Conestoga College, then later moved on to fabric and materials training at Philadelphia University.

His education led to a career that spanned decades and continents working in the automotive industry, both as a seat trim engineer and as a training professional. His business travels have taken him from Michigan and Ontario to training positions in Mexico, Slovakia, Brazil, China, Germany, and the Czech Republic.

As a past upholstery instructor at St. Clair College’s Continuing Education program. Randall recognizes that not everyone can attend college courses, but there is still a need for training in the industrial sewing sector, and very few courses available.

For this reason, Randall decided to create his own course to teach students this very valuable skill. His expertise in the upholstery industry and his knowledge, patience, and history of training others, makes him the perfect learning coach for anyone interested in learning this highly marketable skill.
